Join your fellow ACUI colleagues in experiencing the ultimate common bond: a golf outing to raise money for the ACUI Education and Research Fund! Located just four miles from downtown Atlanta, the Charlie Yates Golf Course at East Lake is a Par 58, mid-length course with Bermuda fairways and Bentgrass greens. Designed by famed golf course architect Rees Jones, the Yates Course offers a mix of challenging Par 3s and 4s, with remarkable views of the downtown Atlanta skyline. This course is perfect for any skill level, as it will challenge the seasoned golfer and “forgive” the weekend hacker! So, get the bonding started before the conference begins and enjoy a day on the course with old and new friends. The top three finishers receive Battle of the Region points for their region. Special prizes will be awarded, so don’t miss it!

Run and Walk

It’s been 10 years since the Olympics graced Atlanta, but now you, as an ACUI conference attendee, will have a chance to experience the same glory, applause, and honor that many Olympic runners enjoyed a decade ago! Join your colleagues for a glorious run around Atlanta’s Centennial Park, all the while raising funds for the ACUI Education and Research Fund.

Erected to honor the Olympic spirit in downtown Atlanta, Centennial Park offers breathtaking views and a challenging course for the morning run. Not a runner? No problem! You can also walk the course and enjoy the crispness of the morning and the companionship of old and new friends. Points will be awarded in the Battle of the Region competition, and all funds raised go toward the education and research fund. So, begin gathering your donations right away, and plan to participate in one of ACUI’s most endearing and enduring traditions.

If this 5K distance isn’t far enough, also consider entering the 2007 Inaugural ING Georgia Marathon (www.georgiamarathon.com). Be the Olympian you’ve always dreamed of!

Silent Auction

It’s a known fact that everyone loves an auction! What better way to create a common bond than to donate items to and bid against your colleagues for other items at the annual Silent Auction? As a bonus this year, closing bids won’t be silent; join fellow delegates in bidding on items during the final moments—live auction style!

Every year, many one-of-a-kind treasures find their way into the hands of ACUI conference attendees at the auction, and this year will be no different. In the past, items such as autographed books and sports memorabilia, school paraphernalia, gift baskets, software packages, framed prints, tickets to sporting events, entertainer/speaker engagements, and other rare treasures have been featured items at the Silent Auction.

Please begin gathering your items to be donated. The more items donated, the more money raised for the important work of the ACUI Education and Research Fund!
